Approximately 670,000 tonnes of furniture are sent to landfills in the UK every year. Reports show that 51% of these could have been reused. Our Furniture Bank model, that provides key items to those transitioning into new homes relies on good quality donations that have some life left in them and can be re-used. So far, we have managed to save 95% of the goods offered to us from ending up in a landfill, and we hope to continue this good work. 

The furniture that is not distributed via the Furniture Bank is sold within our retail shops. These sales enable us to fund the organization, be self-sufficient and not solely reliant upon mainstream funding in order to help people.
